This is the best edition of Greenman's work. The earlier editions are not as complete and the later editions removed some of his material. It has a very good section detailing his perspective on cranio-sacral treatment and he details some techniques that are not published by Upledger or Stiles.
This book has been very helpful in a bodywork course I have been enrolled in. It is helpful with pictures to remind me of techniques as well as descriptions where my notes are sketchy.

This book is an essential for all practicing D.O.s using osteopathic manual medicine and prescribing a comprehensive treatment plan to help make the patient independent. It represents the practical and clinical essence of all forms of physical/ manual therapy. It is a Classic.
I've been a massage therapist about 15 years, and the first edition of the book is the one I own, which was the textbook we used during my advanced clinical training. I have several other books on muscle energy technique(MET) but Greenman's book is one I come back to time and again for quick reviews because it's just laid out very well and explained clearly. Although I don't have the most recent edition yet, I do want to point out that the original was only HALF as many pages as the 3rd edition, so it looks like they packed a LOT more information in it, making it easily worth the price. As the old version is a classic, I don't doubt the updated one is going to be equally impressive.
