Arlan Carter and his wife Loretta live in Fall Creek, Wisconsin, and operate the Northland Fishing Museum and Wildlife Art Gallery in Osseo, Wisconsin. He has been an active member of the National Fishing Lure Collector Club for the last 20 years. He and his wife host an annual NFLCC club sanctioned meeting at Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.

What a treasure this book is. I bought it for someone who loves to fish and also is into collecting lures. He absolutely loved this book. Hard back, beautiful pictures and tons of great information. Perfect!
Arlan Carter wrote 2 books and both are fantastic. this niche volume covers in great detail the metal lures that most other "complete" books totally ignore. great descriptions and superb pics.

Very Good Book
My husband is a fishing lure addict... He loves this book!... If someone in your life collects fishing lures like I collect scrapbooking supplies... they will love it!
This is an outstanding book for anyone who is interested in early metal, "spinner" type lures. Up until now, metal lures have been a largely overlooked and under-rated area of tackle collecting. In his book, Mr. Carter combines a wonderful collection of pictures with detailed information. This is a real gem of a book and should definitely be added to every tackle collector's reference library.
I've read them all but this book is the best. Not only does it offer values and great illustrations it also provides a snapshot of the lure maker. You will be amazed at what you didn't know about these ancient lures.
This is a fantastic book. It is very informative and contains beautiful photographs. A must have for any fishing fan! My husband loves it. :-)
