The only dislike I had was the physical size of the book itself, since I would have preferred seeing the art printed at twice the size. But that's just because I loved every beautifully rendered page that Heidi illustrated. Fortunately, the book is still large enough to fully enjoy, so my one "dislike" should prove far from enough to keep anyone from purchasing and loving this book as much as I did.Without giving anything away, the book's opening pages propel readers right into a harrowing situation that immediately tells them that the stakes in this story will be very high and hit very close to home. Over the course of the rest of the book, the stakes keep rising higher and higher still, with dangers seen and unseen lurking between every other page. After finishing Cottons, I was immensely satisfied, yet hungry for more, not wanting to leave these mystical woods. Natually, I immediately turned back to the very first page and started my journey all over again, enjoying it even more the second time around.Jim and Heidi have spent many years conceiving and developing the world presented in Cottons, and clearly this is a project that not only comes straight from the heart, but is all ABOUT heart. And art. Make that ART. Not just the gorgeously drawn and colored artwork on every page, but the art of storytelling and the art of making ART.At times, reading Cottons provides the same level of enjoyment that any other solidly crafted comic has to offer. But then you turn a page and are elevated to a higher, more profound state of consciousness--much like a real life hike through the woods. The plot is straightforward enough, complete with heroes and villains, so Cottons can be read as an adventure story about anthropomorphic bunnies trying to survive in a world with hungry foxes behind every tree. But the story presents additional concepts and ideas that linger in the head, prompting many questions and suggesting multiple answers. Far too many comics (and cartoons and video games and tv shows and movies) are nothing more than a collection of recycled cliches from other sources. But Cottons is a sincere attempt to give readers something more for their money. Something beautiful, yet terrifying. Something comfortingly familiar, yet suprisingly mysterious. Something you should experience for yourselves as soon as you get the chance.

Absolutely gorgeous fully colored artwork on every page and such a fascinating universe. It’s really interesting to read about the bunnies work life and this crazy psychedelic “Cha”. I can’t wait to get the next two books.

I had a chance to meet the author at Comicon his energy was infectious and he told me he wrote books. Needless to say now I'm recommending this book to everyone. What a passionate book you can really tell where the emotion is coming from and we kind of need this book in this day and age. Sometimes chance encounters can be exactly what you need.

It's teen level story. I highly recommend this to everybody.

I was totally absorbed in this beautiful, dangerous world. The illustrations are gorgeous, and the story sucks you in!

The author is fantastic and the storyline was very intriguing. Couldn’t put it down!

Beautiful book. Well packaged! Can’t wait to have it signed by the author and artist!

Beautiful!!
