Very good book. I really wanted something that can help me understand common core considering this was not tought in my days in school and now my kiddos are forced to learn this. I need to be able to help them when they need help, which is quite often. The teacher seems to not want to take the time to MAKE sure the kids understand, and believe me I have heard so many parents as well as teachers say that kids struggle with this method, so it falls to me apparently and all parents to help them understand. This book has helped me out quite a bit and with example problems makes it all the better.
Make it easy to read and use! Being able to go to the grade of the child and go through it with them.
Was helpful for me. I was able to help the grandchildren a little bit.
I was very disappointed to see that there are not more examples. I will probably go into a book store and purchase another book.

This was edge of your seat reading. The numbers and concepts flew off the pages. If you like 50 Shades of Gray you will love this book. Intense drama, daring action and breath taking descriptions.Please people, it’s a freaking math book. If you need to understand (and who doesn’t) the Common Core this is the only book you will need to read, until it’s not because Common Core has been replaced with some other new-fangled math concept. But don’t worry, I am sure master mathematician Jim Brennan will write a book about that, too.
