Loved these books - Karen Kingsbury is a great author. I love being able to follow so many members of this family and their friends. I read a more recent book first and then have purchased all the back story books. Love seeing how it all played out to get to where it was in the first book I read on the series. Don't have to read each one to enjoy, but I love reading each one because I just love the way Karen Kingsbury writes!!!
Karen Kingsbury is a master at telling stories. She made the Baxter family truly become real people for me and I could hardly put the books down. I saw myself and some of my own family in the characters in her books. I highly recommend reading about the Baxter family from the beginning. I'm looking forward to more chapters in their story!
I have ordered these for my parents, who are retired; they are totally enthralled. The plots move quickly, the situations are real-life, and my parents have opened their hearts to consider situations and circumstances that are far from their current life experience. My mom had never before considered herself a reader; it's wonderful to see her rediscover herself in her 70's. The books are almost a spiritual, mental and emotional work-out for them, and this is a credit to the author for writing these can't-put-them-down stories. The only drawback-- mom had to get her reading glasses updated :-)))
I LOVE all books written by Karen Kingsbury and this series was incredible. I have fallen in love with the Baxter family and cannot wait to read more about them.
I love this author because her books don’t have curse words and are Christain friendly to read. I find myself right in each book and don’t want to stop reading . I have read almost all her books for that reason.
